As I painted, I thought of the Birkat Kohanim, of the way the Kohanim lift their hands—not to bless from themselves, but as channels of Hashem’s light. The silence in this piece is intentional. It mirrors the moment before the words are spoken. A breath. A connection. A blessing already forming.
