The Kotel in Blue evokes the timeless presence and quiet power of the Western Wall. Rendered in soft layers of blue, grey, and luminous gold, this painting gently abstracts the figures in prayer—each one a whisper of devotion, stillness, and longing.
As with all my work, this painting was created from a place of deep connection to Hashem. With each layer of paint, I felt as though I were revealing the endless layers of love Hashem pours over us. The soft white strokes descending from above represent that Shefa—that divine flow of goodness that quietly and constantly fills our lives. We don’t always notice it, but it’s there—surrounding us, lifting us, embracing us.
