Following the heartfelt response to The Kotel in Blue, this companion piece was born—The Kotel in Gold. Where the original spoke in cool stillness, this version glows with warmth, evoking a softer light and a quiet radiance that seems to rise from the very stones.
Gentle brushstrokes layer golds, creams, and muted earth tones, creating a dreamlike image of the Western Wall—timeless, holy, and ever-present. Figures in prayer appear almost as reflections of light, barely defined yet deeply felt. They stand not just in front of the Kotel, but within it—as if woven into its eternal story.
Like its blue counterpart, this painting was created with a deep sense of connection to Hashem. As I painted, I thought about how many souls have stood in this very spot—each one bringing their own prayers, their own longing, their own light. The soft white strokes flowing downward represent the Shefa, the quiet, generous outpouring of goodness that Hashem constantly sends our way—even when we don’t fully see it.
