Lights is a tribute to the Menorah in all its glory—standing tall, glowing within the heart of the Beis HaMikdash. This painting captures not just its form, but its essence: the eternal flame of Torah, of wisdom, of divine presence that once lit the inner chamber and still burns within our souls.
The Menorah rises from the center of the canvas with quiet majesty, its branches graceful and strong. The surrounding tones are gentle, letting the Menorah shine as the focal point, as it once did in the Mikdash.
As I painted, I thought of how this light was never simply physical. It represented clarity, peace, and Hashem’s closeness. The Menorah stood not as decoration, but as testimony—a reminder that even in the darkness, there is light meant to guide.
Lights is a painting of sacred stillness. Of golden promise. Of the eternal light that continues to shine from within Yerushalayim—and within us all.
